Match report The U13's started their campaign with an away win at Porchester.

The mighty whites batted first, with Lenny and Jack looking sound. After a few overs they began to turn the screw until Jack was well bowled. Lenny played some lovely shots, well supported by Umar, who hit two glorious straight drives. After Lenny retired and Umar was out for an industrious 26, young Harrison showed great discipline protecting an end and making sure we batted our overs.

The bowling was on the money from the off and the home side began to lose wickets and fall behind the rate. Lenny and Jack picked up wickets as only the Porchester opener was able to make any inroads. Jack bowled superbly, with fgures of 3 for two off 3 overs. The wickets continued to fall, with Harrison and Ben picking up their first wickets of the season, before Lenny turned to his secret weapon: U9 Elliot, who after seeing the opener retire, quickly dismissed the last batsman before having the returning opener caught next ball, leaving him on a hatrick for next game...

An excellent team performance all round, and a big thank you to Elliot for stepping in at the last minute.
