Match report Another great win for our 11As in what could have been a difficult night for us with the match being rearranged at last minute so there were a few boys unavailable, plus one sick on the night, but we managed to get a team of 9 together ranging from U8s to U11s.

Havant won the toss and elected to bat, they managed a total of just 91 on what was a fairly small boundary in places. Harrison and Henry took 2 wickets each, with a wicket each from U8 Felix (our last minute stand in) and Elliott. Tom Wheeler bowled exceptionally well, 1st over a maiden and only 3 runs in the 2nd plus a wicket, Jack also had a maiden plus a tight 2nd over. On the last ball of the 15th over the last 2 batsman made a really tight run and Finlay threw a great ball in for a direct hit.

Jack Nay took 3 brilliant catches and Tom Wheeler 1, overall very good fielding from the team.

Jack and Harrison opened the batting, Jack got off to a flying start, scoring 25 in 13 balls but was bowled on his 14th ball. Harrison was off strike for the majority of the first 4 overs but remained patient scoring a just few singles and running the byes where possible. He was lucky not to get out due to some slightly casual running and a dropped catch but held his nerve well in the end. Tom came in next and batted well hitting 2 excellent 4s, unfortunately he was run out for 10 trying to run a tight single, maybe just a bit more patience required.

Ryan was in next, as always he batted confidently and him and Harrison took the team to the required total, Ryan on 18 and Harrison on 20 not out with 50 balls remaining.

A good team performance overall, the 4 batsman did well but were maybe a bit 'wild' at times which could have cost us on another day.

Well done boys, just 2 games to go now . . .
