Match report Up against the "best of" side and without one of our strike bowlers we knew it would be a tough ask to sign off with a win in the season's exhibition curtain call.
An opening over from Nick yielding just 3 runs looked good, however thereafter their batters took the game to us. A stinging catch for Ollie off Freddie and a tidy bit of ground work from Freddie got us a couple of scalps and Dan picked up a wicket off the last ball as Ollie got the angles right for the catch. However a chase of 150+ was a big ask.
For the first 3 or 4 overs we were around the rate but their County bowling attack continued to turn the screw and we ended up well short three down.
There is no disgrace in losing in this fixture and an unbeaten league program offered us the honour of taking part for the 3rd time 5 years.
