Match report A disappointing end to a match we looked in control of for the first 75 overs, undone in the end by a brilliant knock of 105 in quick time from the Ryde skipper. The day had started well, winning the toss on a good track, Clem and Phil put on 99 for the first wicket, a couple of fine catches saw us wobble a little, but Clem kept going to make a fine 75 and fast scoring Rajeev, Sayeem and Dimash added 50 in the last 5 overs to get us to a solid 240. Dan's pace and Rajeevs guile kept things tight, before Karthik took a wicket with his first ball the first of 3 for him. Sayeem started well, but the Ryde skipper starting turning up the heat and making use of the short boundary and we struggled to contain the flow of runs. Connor bowled well at the death, but it wasn't to be and fair play to the Ryde skipper for his second ton in two weeks. A couple of tricky chances went begging in the field, but other than that a much better team performance, and we can go into a another tough fixture next week with confidence.
