Match report Winning the toss and batting, St Cross lost Burgess at 8 in the second over. Neave and Fay then added 66 in 17 overs. The third wicket fell at 110 in the 31st over at which point, Lockwood joined Berryman and they enjoyed an unbeaten partnership of 120, setting a target thought to be gettable while denying the home side bowling points.The league leaders made a poor start, losing both openers for 22 in seven overs. Tom joined Matt and together the produced a repeat of their performance against Shrewton, this time adding 147 in 26 overs. Matt's second century of the league season quickly followed Tom's dismissal, but when he was caught at extra cover, doubt set in..
Some nervous batting against the impressive young leg-spinner, Fay and some less impressive off-spin from the south end followed until Tom F found his touch and finished the match with successive boundaries and an over to spare.
