Match report An interesting evening with some good (and not so good ) cricket on display. Our batting started well with Ollie K and Harlan hurrying along. After they departed the innings became rather becalmed until Ollie S clicked with a couple of well struck boundaries. Fresh from his daring do for the SE Hants Dan joined top scorer and straight hitting Jack in clattering more runs before Jack got bowled. More good striking from Dan saw us close at 134 alongside the scampering Mani.
In the chase, despite a tidy and wicket taking start from Dan and Jacob their numbers 4 and 5 got their teeth into the change bowlers. Nevertheless, Mani picked up 2 and Jez one. With their best bat stumped just before retirement and another lad retired a lot was asked of the number 6. They were well in front in terms of run rate but with a man missing and a tail to come he needed to finish it for them. Unfortunately for Locks Heath he top edged a pull to be well caught by Harlan off Jez. The last wicket fell to Jack who celebrated extravagantly - which he later explained was due to it being a Mani taught "Caroom" ball (that worked!) rather than knowing it was the win clincher.
