Match report Much credit must go to Portsmouth skipper Dan Wallis who was 3 short of the required 9 players at lunchtime, but rustled up 3 more in order to fulfill the fixture (something we have much sympathy with at the moment).
Portsmouth batted first and Dan took the big wicket of the skipper first ball with an edge to Ollie. Portsmouth rebuilt well until Nick claimed a wicket with a catch by Harlan. Jack then took a sharp caught and bowled. The Portsmouth No5 batting in a similar style to Dimash put on a hard hit 38no, their no 2 also scored 38no and we were chasing 114 to win.
Ollie and Dimash set about knocking the runs off quickly and we had 31 off the first 3 overs. Ollie fell caught and bowled, so Harlan joined Dimash. Dimash was hitting the ball hard and went on to retire with 41no, late on Jacob was run out by a direct hit from the boundary, and Jack fell lbw to give us a late worry, but Harlan finished it with a 4 and we were home with over 3 overs to spare.
