Match report Second win of the season for our U11s.

Some stronger bowling this week from our boys and less over throws in the field, Edward and Elliott took their first wickets of the season including a bowl and catch by Edward on his 2nd over. A great 2 maidens for Tom W on his first 2 overs and another 2 maidens and 2 wickets for Harrison. As with last match we gave away a lot of extras but we did stop Emsworth from scoring many runs.

Tom P and Elliott were a strong opening batting pair against a couple of Emsworth's most economical bowlers who gave away no extras in those 1st 4 overs. Their running was excellent and Tom was unfortunate to be caught out.

A couple of great 4s from Tom W and excellent running as always, Joseph, making his debut, held his wicket and played a couple of good shots and Ged is growing in confidence each week. Harrison and Alfie ran some impressive singles/doubles with superb backing up from both players. Umar and Rhys went in to bat with us 3 runs ahead at the end of the 4th pair. They both lost wickets but batted confidently and scored enough runs between them to see out the match.

Overall there were big improvements from all players, in particular with the batting. Maybe a bit more concentration required in the field but all in all a great game to watch, well done boys!

Special mention today goes to Edward for his fantastic bowling, in particular the bowl and catch.
