Match report It was a tough night for the team but I feel as a unit we gave it a real good go against a strong side. Also it was great to get contributions from all of the team tonight.

We were elected to bowl first on a decent track with small boundaries. It was difficult because they batted very well with their top 4 doing the damage for them but all our bowlers gave it a great go. Many positive signs from our fielding: many good balls, lots of great fielding and a 'never give up' attitude. However, at training we will have to work on cancelling out unnecessary extras. 43 extras is at least 20 too many and 13 no balls is less than heard of; so that's little things that can be easily sorted.

When we got to batting, it was good that everyone got a run out at the crease. A solid knock from the skip and contributions from the rest of the team were essential for the much needed batting points. In particular there were great explosive knocks from Glover, Field, Hewage and Westcott. Even saw the very first P and S under 13's reverse sweep - and it was successful!

Even though it was a hard match for the boys, it was a great effort by all and I'm sure with more hard work we will do well in the rest of our matches to come So until next time: onwards and upwards...
