Match report Lead by our top guns we finished our league season on a high. Batting first Tristan out scored his partner to retire with a flourishing 4/6 combo. Shortly after Freddie too took a breather thanks to a straight 6. Thereafter we unfortunately lost 4 quick wickets but this meant the Collighan/Gadd show was back sooner than has been the case. With excellent running and a further 11 back wall hits between them they made to the close unbeaten and us with a towering 176.
With the ball, scoreboard pressure in our favour ensured we stayed well ahead. Despite a measured hand played by their opener and an aggressive one played by their retiring number 4 an excellent spell from Freddie and a tidy caught and bowled from Lenny got us 4 deserved wickets. While our win clearly owed much to our opening bats all worked hard and ensured we made it over the line emphatically. Well done.
