Match report Not a night for the bowlers - across both teams they mustered only 1 wicket between them and contributed over 50% of all runs scored without the batter being involved!
Anyway, in our innings a serene start was nipped in the bud as Freddie missed their leggie and was bowled. Thereafter we efficiently, thanks in the main to Tristan and Arthur collected runs of the balls we could although the running lost it's positivity which in the end proved vital. Finishing on 117 we missed out on a point and were in that "could go either way" area.
A maiden first up from Freddie got us in front but bit by bit they edged closer to par. Despite some great scrambling fielding from all (but notably Charlie & Oakley at point and Lenny on the back wall plus Arthurs glove work standing up) the extra's started to take a toll. Having to bowl a second maiden to win it for us, Freddie's first two balls of the last over were clipped for singles and we ended beaten if not disgraced.
