Match report A game that got closer than we might have expected was notable not only for the tight finish but also the good hands played by 2 young debutants (Callum and Harrison) and the batting of our "big guns" Freddie and Tristan.
Being put in Freddie and Tristan played their usual risk free cricket running well before Arthur, Callum and Harrison played their supporting knocks. Lenny, as we've become used to, stuck around to watch Freddie pepper the back wall several times to take him to a second retirement. With only 4 balls left Tristan cracked two fours and was unlucky not to get a 3rd as he hit too straight and the stumps intervened. Defending 134 we had a great chance.
While we didn't take wickets we kept a lid on their scoring (although rather generous with our extras!). Again Freddie led from the front bowling a crucial maiden and when scoreboard pressure grew too much we benefited with run outs courtesy of Freddie and Arthur's good work.
With them needing 12 off the last over Freddie kept his never to bring us home.
A good nights work by all concerned and we look forward to seeing you all keep improving your indoor games. Well done.
