Match report For a game that could well decide the second & third placed teams this season the quality of cricket wasn't of the highest order!
That said our bowling performance was good, strangling them and causing errors. Dan Cox set things up with a very tidy spell and watched as Freddie started a stellar fielding session for the Gadd boys with a quick feed to earn a direct hit run out. Then with the brothers bowling in tandem we took the game away from them. Firstly Harry saw Ollie grab a catch then took a low stinger for Freddie's first. An excellent debut behind the stumps from Tristan was capped by first a stumping off FG then a good edge standing up to HG. The second ball of Freddie's second over had him rap their last man's pads and earn an LBW. Set only 56 we'd have to bat very poorly or them bowl out of their skins for us to be challenged.
In the end it was a bit of both. Harry got a good one he was trying to force and both Daniel C and Freddie clothed balls they will send back wall bound on other days. However, while the 3 quick wickets caused a bit of a flutter the score board pressure wasn't really there, so Ollie and Dan T ticked the runs off to see us home with almost 5 overs to spare.
A good win against a side that can beat anyone on their day but we'll need to click soon to put any pressure on at the top.
