Batting first the evergreen opening partnership of Dave Peachey and Smudge was a top effort putting on over 100! smudge got a well played 60 and Dave fell only ten short of that elusive 50! Enter Matt Smith and Rob Evens to really up the pace and they smashed us to 223-3. Matt finishing with 52 and Rob 40. So a good day for the batters!

Bowling was an eventful start with Tanners opening over 0.1 balls for 9 runs a classic start by any standard! Fortunately the second over from rips brought us a wicket tanner joined in with another gully catch for moi (my only act of the day) and then rips claimed a third so we were nicely on top!Jonesy bowled with some pace and was unlucky not to get some wickets, afterwards i thought hed bowled alrite, but the man said himself "bowled well". Enter the Spinners, all picking up 2 wickets each, Christian creating chances to remove there only batsman left to even give them a chance and from then on Kez and Joe picked up some of the tail. Kez just needed a bit more luck and he might have had 3 or 4.
Fielding was pretty good this week! Especially another great catch from peachey and rob evans plucking yet another out. Rips took a top high catch too, and succeeded in not wiping out keiron! The champagne moment though has to go to christian whose run out was from as good as the boundary and a direct hit! great stuff!
