Match report Lets start with the good news - We are promoted providing Bosham don't get all 24 points next week and we get none.

Now for the bad. We lost the toss and as expected were put in on a green one. A good opening spell from their useful opening pairing saw both Simon and Dan back in the hutch before we had 50 on the board. At drinks we were two down with less than 50 runs on the board. Despite a measured 50 from "pass the bucket" Jones too many of the later bats perished to careless shots attempting to up the scoring rate. The evergreen Clayton Rudder was the beneficiary picking up a 5-for. We closed the innings 8 down and a good thirty below where we would have hoped to be.
In their reply we started brightly with BMW sending back one opener in his second over. However a second wicket partnership of 130 pretty much sealed our fate. A brief glimmer of hope ignigted when Owen picked up their no.3 but his hard hit 75 and our hefty extras tally meant it was too little too late. The extra runs we might have got and one chance that might have been, could have made a difference - but what ifs count for nothing as we were out played by a decent side.

For us to be champions we seriously need to up our game again. Next week we need to win with at least 22 points. If we do that we can't be caught. Game on....
