Match report A tough opening fixture against a good Hambledon side. We won the toss and elected to bat to put a score on the board. It was tough going as the seam bowlers were getting the ball to swing and they bowled in good areas consistently well. Learning points to focus on: playing attacking shots where ball is on or outside leg stump; forward defensive shot; running first run hard.

Tristan and Marcus played nice shots to score our two boundaries.

We bowled and fielded well but sadly didn't post a big enough score to defend. Well done to Alex and Charlie for picking up a wicket each and to Arthur for keeping well.

The team spirit was good and encouragement in the field was pleasing. Let's take this into our next match.
