Match report An exciting U13B game played in great spirit with a very good team performance was won by P&S despite being a player short. Harrison and Alex got us off to a steady start with a partnership of 21. Aquib and Charlie were second up and a boundary strewn partnership of 35 took us to 256 after 8 overs with Aquib dispatching anything short. Marcus and Ben and Josh and Robbie consolidated and we were 285 after 16. As usual the last 4 overs brought plenty of excitement with boundaries and wickets, Tristan took the top score honours with a classy 19 whilst Robbie hit out to good effect leaving us on 314. Our running was good and we only lost 5 wickets.

Hambledon lost a wicket 1st ball but some of bowling was erratic and wides and no balls were keeping them in the game, Ben was the only bowler not to bowl a wide or no ball and he also bowled two batsman. Aquib picked up two wickets and only bowled on one wide. Our fielding was excellent, Tristan only conceding two byes, getting two run outs and was unlucky not to have two stumpings, Alex was superb on the mid wicket boundary throwing his body around to stop anything he could, Harrison had a direct hit run out and Robbie had safe hands. All of this left Hambledon needing 16 off the last over to win, Harrison started well with 2 off the first 2 balls, 14 off 4 needed, the next 3 balls were 2 wides and an over head high full toss that went for 6 no balls and being the last over all 3 balls to be re-bowled so only 4 now needed off 4 balls. Harrison bowls a good length ball that is smashed to mid on where Marcus takes a fantastic match winning catch, Harrison then produces a great off cutter to knock the stumps over and we win by 9 runs.
