Match report The showcase game vs the leagues big guns didn't quite run our way. Our three week lay-off looked too long as our batting didn't click (with the exception of Harry of course). He retired in the second over but we didn't kick on as Harlan and Ollie found themselves at the same end as they did in last year's awards game. This time round it was Ollie who fell on his sword to go. Dan C was well caught at point while Harlan & Henry played across straight ones. For a short while the retuning Harry and Dan T worked well together before Harry fell caught & bowled trying for a consecutive 6. Out on 49 for the second awards game in succession. Still with 3 overs to use Daniel was the last man out just failing to make his ground in a cheeky single. 93 was going to be tough to defend.
Daniel T & Harlan started really well keeping then down to less than 7 an over through the first 4 overs and causing pressure to let the swooping Henry feed Ollie's gloves for our only wicket of the evening. While everyone bowled well and they never got above our run rate we just hadn't posted a strong enough score and ended up shaking good natured hands a ball short of the 10th over.

So another indoor season came to a close. All that was left was to see the 8 guys who had won us the league collect their trophies and Harry get his leading batter award. Well done all, let's do it again next time but, before then, let's roll the success into the summer.
