Match report Going into this game with just two of last week's attack of six bowlers proved too much of a handicap against competent opposition. Batting first was the better option, but a poor start reduced the home side to 100 for 5 (25 overs). Jack (back in form) and Tom then added 44 in 7 overs and when Jack departed, Tom and Ian, with a typically breezy knock, put on a further 45 in another 7 overs.
Despite Jono's second ball yorker accounting for Ropley's enormous opener, the visitors were never daunted by their target and partnerships of 71 for the second wicket and 89 for the third enabled them to take maximum points with 14 overs to spare.
