Match report On a decent pitch, P & S were easily beaten by the 100 percent league-leaders who were not outstanding themselves. The home side's total relied on two major partnerships; 59 between Hockenhull and Sturman and 66 between Sturman and Bullough. Oxley's aggression at the end was an unwelcome bonus. Jono was the pick of the bowlers and Tom made a good stab at the onerous task of fifth bowler.
In contrast, the visitors' highest partnership was 31 for the 7th wicket from Rob and Krishan. Smithy looked as comfortable as anyone. Jack sparkled briefly in his attempt to find form, but Rob played the best innings, playing himself in, and using his feet to the spinners until an ugly shot ended an attractive performance.
P & S never looked as if they thought they could win this and left 70 balls unused when the game ended.
