Match report Put in on a damp pitch, P & S found the going hard early on, but had built a decent platform at 113 for 4 from 35 overs. Hopes of a good total were then dashed when 4 wickets were lost for 14 in 7 overs, three of them to the gentle seamers of Lee. Sam and Keiron added 10 with care, but 2.5 overs were unused.
Purbrook made a disastrous start. Chris was on a hat-trick when the score was 8 for 3 in the sixth over. Lee and Spiers then added 50 to put their team back in the game, but Lee's ambitious second run was fatal. Spiers sustained the innings but could not keep the scoring rate high enough, before a late flurry by Dean and McGlinchey prolonged the inevitable.
