Match report Despite the challenging pitch we started our innings well with Skipper Bergy and Simon giving us a relatively untroubled start. However, despite starts from Bergy, Dimash and Sathish we found ourselves 76 for 7 in the 27th over. The last three wickets however added 114 runs before Sean's luck ran out trying to get us to 200 in the last over. While we didn't quite get full batting points on the track, that was quite some riches.
With the ball Karthik and Sathish gave little to hit and Karthik picked up a wicket with the ball of the day. After an inauspicious start, which saw his first ball slapped for 4, Mani bowled a fantastic spell and needed only one of a number of tough chances to go stick to have a 5-fa. In the end he had to settle for 4. At the other end Ollie was also threatening and a smart boundary catch for Karthik and quick gloves from Tom help him to a brace. With us in little danger of losing pay the skip bowled himself to return the remarkable figures on 3 for no runs off two & half overs.
A good win. We get next week off so hope to be firing on all cylinders when get going again.
