Match report Happy New Year to all our readers. Normal service was resumed after the Christmas break as we racked up another strong score. We had contributions all the way down but notably from Harlan, who retired comfortably and Daniel T who deserved to get back in the hutch (but was left stranded on 24*). Our main man Harry showed his class in smashing the back wall 4 times in the last over to bring up an unbeaten 50.
Chasing an improbable 170 for the win, after Dan C took a running catch off Harlan to send back their opener, Fareham's no.s 2 & 3 kept them just below the asking rate. For a while our usually top rate fielding looked a little rusty but once they had retired we switched on again. Dan T induced a quick outside edge to flash off the wall for Harlan to take a stinger at point and we turned the screw as Harry then Harlan rattled the stumps. In the end we ran out convincing winners which takes us to the top of the table.
