Match report Choosing to bat first Freddie and Will got us going with really well weighted shots and running - until that is Freddie saw a ball ping off the only solid part of the wall to be run out! Arthur got a cracking ball before we started mixing well judged, aggressive running with the wrong man calling and ball watching. The second of our 5 run outs removed Will. Tristan looked great for his 11 but a mix up with Josh saw his innings ended. A note for all, if the call is too tight - just shout no and stay put! Josh however, played the best hand of the night and his season to date, finding plenty of gaps. While he was with debutant Harrison, who matched him run for run for a while, we still had hopes of posting a defendable score but the run out of Harrison and then when the last man stand was ended we needed everything to go our way with the ball.
While we bowled pretty well and Josh nicked a wicket thanks to a diving catch from Freddie we just didn't have enough to play with. They (like us) only batted for 7 overs to claim the win set up by their excellent bowling and fielding performance.
