Match report Batting first we played with the batting order and Harry raced out of the blocks cracking a 4 first ball. Will was soon in on the act too and despite losing Harry shortly after he mixed singles with boundaries until he too was bowled. Mani's first two scoring shots found the boundary and after the unlucky Henry (say NO!) and Daniel T came and went quickly he and Ollie got the score board ticking. Ollie departed to a great catch just shy of retiring but Daniel C took up the mantle hitting a 6 to get off the mark. By the time he fell with only a few balls to go Mani had retired with his top score ever (well done!) and Harlan came out to bash a 4 1st ball and get us 145.
In the field their big opener started very well and despite Harlan having the beating of him a couple of occasions he cracked some great shots. At the other end after a tricky start Josh found his lengths and bowled the other opener before seeing the main man well caught by Ben at mid-off. A horrible mix up saw Daniel C take advantage to effect a run out but for a while they got on top. Despite good bowling from Kyle and Ben and some really quick sets from Daniel T it was Henry who got us back, bowling the aggressive number 5. While wicketless, Dan C's 4 overs got us well in front. Mani's excellent day was concluded when he beat the next hitter in the air and saw Ollie whip off the bails for our final success. Once he had gone, despite some decent shot making from their number 3 Harlan and Harry saw is finish 30+ runs to the good.
