Match report Batting first we found ourselves 5 wickets down and barely in double figures with their opening bowler getting good movement off the seam. Sathish and Dimash dug in and steadied the innings both playing their attacking shots to good effect. Sean commenced a brilliant innings with quality shots, seeing and timing the ball well from the start of what was an extraordinary performance. Jacko joined Sean when we were 95 for 8 at the start of a superb partnership of 157. Jacko playing a mature and good supporting role, his best performance of the season, keeping Sean on strike enabling him to regularly dispatch the ball to all parts of the ground with effortless stroke play. A monster 6 on the last ball of an incredible innings brought Sean his 150 and a well deserved ovation from both teams as he left the pitch.
J Dog and Sathish set about their opening batsmen bowling good lines and making run scoring difficult. Both deserved more for their quality spells, which was a theme backed up by Charlie who turned their batsmen inside out but remarkably only had the one wicket to show for his excellent display. It was left to Henry to be top wicket taker on the day taking 3 for 8 in his 5 over spell - great to see another top effort from another of our under 13 team! Dimash and Jacko both bowled well at the end of their innings with Jacko taking the last two wickets.
A strong fielding performance all round including J Dog flying through the air (twice) and good glove work from Jonte who kept wicket very well.
