Match report With the weather unsettled, Basingstoke were invited to bat and found the going hard on a slow low pitch. Chris T bowled a miserly spell with only 3 singles off the bat coming from his 10 overs. The bowlers were much more accurate than last week and with 8 overs to go, the visitors were 112 for 6. However, Joseph mixed care and energy to haul them to 150. Matt was exceptional in the field and with the ball.
P & S scored faster than their opponents, but also lost wickets more regularly. Rain drove the players off at 5:43 when Matt and Dave were building a useful partnership but this ended at 71 for 4. The ball started skidding low from Harris and Perera and the two spinners put a stranglehold on proceedings. Once Matt was caught in the deep, only Lewis could stay for any time.
