Match report A close one. An early back wall strike from JB was a bit of a false dawn as we lost him and skipper Ben in quick succession. Harry didn't let it faze him as he retired in the 5th over. The leagues top bowler then applied the breaks and snaffled a wicket maiden and by the time Harlan and Ollie S has gone we had become a little becalmed. That bought Harry back and he went ballistic striking 4 more sixes, a couple played "inside out" were amazing hits before he unluckily played on trying to keep the strike. Left with 2 overs to play a sole hand, Ollie K did a great job to get us within a ball of our full allocation. Finishing on 121, a little below par, but we were in the game.
Our session with the ball was rather blighted by handing them 47 extras. If we consider we also missed a couple of run outs, catches went begging, a stumping came off a no ball plus some below par fielding moments, it was nothing short of amazing we took it so close to the wire. Good catching from Ollie S & Ben and the tightest sets from Harry and Harlan nearly let JB close things out for us but it wasn't to be.
