Match report An excellent batting performance had this one in the bag for us. Clean striking from Harlan along with the usual deft touches from both openers saw Harlan back in the hutch early. It wasn't long before Daniel C joined him to leave Ollie and Daniel to pick up where they left off last time. Ollie brought up his retirement with a back wall hit while Daniel went one better than last time (after pulling out the off drive again) and took a deserved bow for his maiden retirement. William supported him well and grabbed a boundary before Henry fell to a catch at mid-off. That bought Harlan back and he quickly found the back wall again and hurried to close things out. With a score of 157 we were confident at the half way stage.
They started aggressively and cracked some bowling that was a little too short. After their no.s 1 & 3 retired the Dan's and Harlan put the breaks on emphatically although the wickets still wouldn't come. Some half run out chances and a tough nick didn't work for us and at the end they gave it a bit more welly but we rolled out convincing winners.
