Match report Losing the toss we were put into bat and I was pleased that Henry and Dan T took on the responsibility of opening the batting against accurate opening bowlers. Dan T scored 15 runs. Harlan and Kyle provided the back bone to our innings putting on 56 runs for the fourth wicket which was great to watch. Well done Kyle on your highest score and to Harlan for retiring, both having played some good shots and running hard between the wickets helping us to reach 94 off our 20 overs. Well done to Ollie Newport playing for us for the first time.
In reply their batsmen made life difficult for our bowlers. However, all our bowlers bowled some good balls and we were unlucky not to take more wickets. A tight two overs from Henry, one wicket each for Harlan, Stewart and Theo. Well done to Alex, Marcus, Stewart and Theo all stepping up from the under 11's, putting in a lot of effort and giving a good account of themselves. Well done to Will as wicket keeper with only 1 bye all game.
I have made notes from the last two matches on areas for players to individually work on to help continue to improve their cricket skills and I hope to see you at training Monday so we can work on those areas.
