Match report A comfortable win in much more cricket conducive conditions!
Winning the toss we didn't get off to the best of starts losing Dan C early. However, JB and Harry G got us motoring with John retiring for an expansive 30. A mix up between Harry's W & G saw the G version stranded to be run out close to retirement. HW made it up to the team however himself retiring for very well built 32. In between, debutant Harry Leggett was able to show what an acquisition he will prove to be. He will be disappointed not to have gone when well set. After a brief effort from Moni, who running was much improved, Harlan & Ollie closed things out with a 4 over 30 run partnership. Shot of the day came via Harlan's bat with a cracking pull. We closed on a strong 140.
With the ball we shared it around with everyone taking a couple of overs. Pick of he bowlers was perhaps Dan C who's well flighted off spin produced a double wicket maiden thanks to JBs good hands. Harry L capped a good all round night with a brace, one all his own work and the second with HGs catch. The other wickets came via a HG run out & messrs Buckman & Turner, the former with the help of the keeper and the latter starting it all off with his maiden wicket at this level.
