Match report This was a terrific game. Its ups and downs represent what a great game cricket can be. The home side's cause looked hopeless when Nick was dismissed with the score on 136 for 8 in the 33rd over. Both Doug and Ben found the going really tough early on but stuck at the task and began to look more comfortable. Their partnership of 65 was the highest of the innings. However, when Doug was stumped off former Purbrook veteran Kelvin Finch 4 were need to win from the last 4 balls. Darryl scrambled a single off his second ball, leaving Ben on strike with 3 needed from 2 balls. A dot ball was followed by a hairy 2, leaving the scores tied.
Ryan and Nick had both batted aggressively earlier, but got out when going well.
Bransgore had struggled to 75 for 5 off 25 overs after choosing to bat, but Jones and Thomas had then added 99 to ensure a decent target
