Match report Great to see Ollie Kanavan, Harlan Randall, Ollie Smith and Jamie Perfect making their debuts for the thirds. We were up against a very experienced team and although we had an inexperienced team we gave a good account of ourselves.

The team bowled and fielded manfully to restrict them to 191 off 40 overs - a superb effort all round but special mention to the young guns - Ollie K who kept wicket very well; Harlan Randall who bowled with no fear and after his opening 3 overs was brought on to bowl the penultimate over having performed so admirably; Ollie Smith who took the prize wicket of their opener. Well done to Kai, Dan and Jamie who bowled good balls without reward.

We had a tough start with the bat with their opening spinner bowling very well and we were 7 for 2. James and Mark put on 47 for the third wicket but their wiley bowling took 4 more quick wickets.

Up stepped Ollie Smith who batted superbly for nearly 18 overs, including a quality cover drive for four, with Mark and put on 47 runs for the 7th wicket. This helped us bat through our overs and assist Mark in scoring his first half century.
