Match report Having lost the toss on a cold and rainy day in Compton and being asked to field, it aways had the potential to be a tough afternoon in the field!

Compton scored what can only be described as an aggresive 239-3. A couple of lads opting to retired enabled us to regain some iniative for ten overs after drinks and Ben Saunders was the real pick of the bowlers on both sides going at less than 3 an over in very tough conditions against batsman who were happy to attack him. A big thankyou to the other bowlers who all tried hard to make them work in really tough conditions.

In reply we gave a solid persuit of the target. Clem (67) and I put on nearly 100 for the first wicket in 23 overs before i fell to the worst ball ive ever faced, Doug Bullen scored an aggresive 29 and the rest of the lads attempted to swing from the hip to give us a chance of the win. Wickets fell however and the regular boundaries just didnt quite come our way with a few lads holing out on the boundary. . We closed on 175-7.

Plenty of positives to come out of the day. We need to kick on from here and tighten up in the field. But I am sure it will come.
