Match report A much, much better performance today - particularly in the field. Well done boys.
Being put in Dan C started confidently but Oscar was undone by a really good in swinging ball from one of their County stars. After a sticky spell in the middle which saw us loose 3 wickets for 8 runs, Harry joined Dan and got us back on track. After both lads had retired Dan T got amongst things cracking a couple strong 4's. Closing on 94 we knew we needed a strong bowling performance - and we got one.
Henry & Fin started tightly and when Dan C turned one round their left hander's legs we were in. The champagne moment came when Oscar snapped up a really sharp catch at short extra cover off Harry. Everyone bowled well with George DM getting a deserved 3rd over on his A team debut. A note too should go to George RG who's electic arm got us one run out and was mighty close with a second from a direct hit and to Will who took the gloves for the first time showing a natural aptitude. In the end we had them 8 down and 13 short.
