Match report A win - hurrah! Winning the toss we sprinted out of the blocks being 83 without loss at 9 overs. A mini collapse saw us pegged back to 100 or 4 before Rich and debutant Stu steadied things. When both departed in quick succession "dad's army" kicked in their 61 run partnership getting us to within a ball of the close, Simon unbeaten and a weary Mark run out having played great hands.
In the field Doug bowled a top spell of 8 overs off the reel and Curtis recovered well from some early bottom hand punishment to pick up a brace thanks to some tidy catching. Rips was his usual parsimonious self returning excellent figures and Ollie bowled the ball of the day to remove their skipper with on that pitched middle and hit the top of off.
All round a very good day - at last!
