Match report Back to our best against Hook, asked to Bat first our openers put on a solid 100 run partnership with Ash and Ups both hitting half centuries. Matt B and Ed Coulson took the game out of reach after that with a well paced innings from both players that saw 100 runs come from the final 10 overs of the 50 to take us up to a highly impressive 275, Benny looking a class act with 96* and Ed finishing on a valuable 44*. It was then up to the bowlers to keep things tight early on and put the pressure on which is what our game is all about, Jonno finally getting some reward for his high quality bowling all season and ending with 4 for 16 in 10 overs. Hook gave up the chase well before the first drinks break and tried to just bat out the rest of the game, not very entertaining, but it was all about getting maximum points for us which we did with 8 overs to spare, Pates and Fletch taking 2 wkts each in a fine display of seam bowling from everyone.
