Match report On a flat wicket P&S batted first and reached a respectable 73-7 with Jonty (16no)top scoring and useful knocks from Charlie,Jez,Ben and James against Sam and Bobby.
In reply Cowplain got off to a good start with opener Farley(21) and Sam(14) putting them into a good position but then our spinners Ben, Charlie, Ollie and Jez took wickets to change the game with the help of good fielding from Adam, James and our two stand in's Jake and Ollie W.
The highlight of the night was Ollie's reaction when told he had bowled a wicket maiden. And the low was Jez getting the scorebook out after the game was over as the scores were written on the back of a Tesco reciept !
Thanks to Phil for organising and Cheryl for the Teas, the umpires and Ben for taking on the role of captain, coach, manager in the absence of me. Also to the boys for proving you can play cricket win and still have fun.
