Match report A win! (and more importantly a much better performance)
Being put in to bat our opening pair of Ollie and Will got us of to a flyer with a partnership of 16 despite Ollie being caught and bowled. Their hitting and positive running was excellent. Kyle and Henry again batted through without losing a wicket and they too posted 16 thanks to excellent running. Finally Fin and Oscar saw us to a decent score of 253 - 5.
Bowling we got off to the best possible start with Fin picking up a wicket with his first ball. He also picked up a second scalp in a really good spell.There was a brace of wickets too for Peter who bowled one and had the help of George's safe hands for his second. Ollie picked up a bowled during a tight spell and both he and Will were unlucky a couple of times during their final overs as a little more concentration might have paid dividends. The other wicket we took was thanks to a great peice of work in the outfield from Will and tidy gloves from the wicky. Next time if we all can concentrate for the full match we'll be a hard act to beat!
