Match report What looked to be a comfortable stroll to victory ended up being a real cliffhanger by 4 runs.
Batting first a fine partnership of 62 between Kai 18 and Tom 50 retired saw us off to a good start. The momentum was continued with a brisk knock of 21 from Jack before finally finishing on 133 which seemed a bit short after such a strong start. Defending the total we looked to have a stranglehold on the game with tight bowling particularly from Tom 2 for 11, Joe with 1 for 22, bowling well in his first spell, and Jack 1 for 8 before we let Hayling back in the game. From a good position of Hayling wanting 47 off 5, a win by 4 runs was too close for this Old Man's ticker. But, we managed it through some excellent fielding and strong minds at the death. Well done again men.
