Match report From a team that was thrown together at 5.15 tonight i couldn't have asked for more. Give yourselves a big pat on the back one and all. You did the club and yourselves proud.
A solid bowling and fielding performance on a pitch that was swinging like a boomerang resulted in bowling the opposition out for 109. Although it looked as though we had missed the boat having had them at 46 for 5. All bowled well in particular Prash with 3 for 14 well supported by Joe Sillence with 2 for 11 Jack Till 2 for 8.
Chasing a reasonable target, bearing in mind the conditions,we were soon in trouble at 31 for 5 and but for a spirited, gutsy knock of 26 from Kai Pidgeon which held us together. When Kai was out i thought it was all over but in came Prash, to hit an absolutely superb 44 not out supported with a wonderful knock of 15 from the diminutive, but fearless Ben Saunders. Finally we got home with 8 balls to spare with Joe Sillence supporting Prash to the end.
Prash that was a wonderful performance.
