Match report The under 15As made a solid start to this season’s campaign beating Purbrook by 5 wickets. Purbrook won the toss and chose to bat. The opening bowlers Leo Patterson and Sam Corbett quickly built the pressure leading to wicket maidens in the 5th and 6th overs for Leo and Seth Jackson. Tom Benfield then added variation in his 4 over spell bringing him 3-14. U13s Charlie Corbett (2-0-2-1) and Seb Herold (2-1-1-1) overcame their debut nerves and deliver superb figures. In the last over Seth struck twice with tidy stumpings by Tom Farnworth and the last wicket fell in a run-out. Purbrook had been held to 80 all out.

Openers Seth and Tom Benfield lasted until the 4th over having managed to put just 12 on the board leaving Sam Corbett and Tom Farnworth to rebuild the innings. This they did with measured innings of 35* and 25 respectively. Despite the failing light brothers Sam and Charlie saw the team home in the 14th over. Overall, a pleasing performance for the new team.
