Match report An excellent performance to end an excellent season in which we've won all 8 games to win the u11 title.
Batting first we raced out of the blocks with Bobby soon retiring (21), shortly followed by Jez (23*) and the unfortunate Charlie (15. Second time run out this season backing up) and we reached 80 after 10 overs. What looked like being a massive score then evaporated as Joe K-E came on to bowl and he took 5-1 and we had to settle for 111.
In reply Adam (2-11) and Joe with the prized wicket of Sam C got the ball rolling and Bobby (2-4) and Charlie (3-2) blitzed through Portsmouth's batting to leave Sam R to finish them off with his only ball of the innings.
All in all the 15 boys who played for the team throughout the season deserve great credit for their performances and it has been rightly rewarded with the league title.
