Match report Our second outing saw the boys beaten by a good, well drilled Fareham side. Batting first, we again had all pairs record positive scores. With a bit more thought in our running (either saying "no" to a second or "yes" when the opportunity arises) we could have scored more and avoided a couple of wickets. Finley H-W being the pick of our batters.
Our defence of 232 started well with a couple of bowled wickets for Finley T. Tom started with a maiden and Lloyd with 2 bowled. Ollie and Peter went wicketless but picked up a run out and kept things tight leaving the Brothers Ghosh against their two best players with the scores virtually level. Despite both Monideep and Sunideep hitting the stumps the Fareham Captain played extremely well, held his nerve and cracked the highest score of the day to see his team home. Well played Fareham. We can really learn from watching how sides like this field.
