The final of the Hampshire League Sports Quiz was held on Thursday night at Compton & Chandler's Ford CC. Having finished a best-ever 5th last year, the P & S team of Mark and Simon Smith, Dave Peachey and John Townsend were looking for a higher placing and achieved just that, finishing equal third.
Nobody can remember the last time that Aldershot were not the champions, but after four rounds, they were trailing P & S by three, with Whiteparish a further seven points in the lead.
However, Aldershot showed their class in the seventh and final round, scoring 41 to Whiteparish's 32 to clinch the title again by just two points.
