Our 1st XI have drawn a plum home tie as they re-join the SPCL Twenty20 Cup for the first time since 2014.
Sunday 10th June will see them take on Bashley (Rydal) CC. You couldn't imagine much tougher opposition as multiple winners of the Cup. However, we can take some heart as we do have some giant killing pedigree.
In 2009 we felled the previous season's finalists, Totton & Ealing CC as Rowan Dyer led a chase of 175 with the one of the best knocks played in P&S colours. Let's hope someone can replicate his 100 off 35 balls this time round.
Whatever happens, we'll be sure to need a few ball retrievers in the trees come June.
