Match report Being asked to field our first job was to find a volunteer/victim to keep wicket for us. Up stepped Jacob who did a very good job effecting a sensible run out and almost topping it off with a diving catch. With her usual waspish accuracy Talitha stopped the openers great running start by clipping the top of off stump with her fifth ball. Over 2 saw the leagues current top of the wicket taker, Harrision, follow suit getting their danger man. In his next over he might have had a couple but had to settle for just one more as he again beat the bat to clatter the stumps. Next came Jacob's run out and the Henry's closed things out. The Ferrett variety landing his leggies on the money before bowling his man. T'other Henry wrapped things up taking the final wicket with his very first ball. All this with only three balls going for wides - a great showing all round.
Although we lost Jacob early to a very good ball, Henry F cracked a couple of lovely straight boundaries and Henry O'H played nicely straight against their quick. Both lads perished with cross batted shots of some description that might be best left in the locker for indoor cricket. Felix showed some class, stroking both his first two balls to cover and he and Talitha got us over the line with good runs.
