Match report A good effort against top of the table Waterlooville this evening. Winning the toss skipper Gia sent the Ville into bat and everyone bowled really well. The most pleasing aspect of all was how few runs we gave away from extras and overthrows and how we made the opposition work really hard for their runs. Special mention goes to wicket takers Ryan, Thomas, Jacob and Owen, however there could have been so many more wickets as we narrowly missed the stumps on many occasions, Sam hit them once but the bails stayed on and Elliot had two great attempts at diving catches that just slipped out of his hands. At the end of their innings Waterlooville were 115-4.
Our batting whilst not as effective as it has been in recent games was still very positive and our running and calling was excellent throughout. Despite some fine efforts against some really good bowling unfortunately we came up short. One more game to go, lets finish it on a win.
