Match report P&S batted first and following a relatively slow start the run rate was given a boost when Tom Farnworth scored a rapid unbeaten 30 off 13 balls. This gave the innings sufficient impetus to reach a final score of 155-4. Matt Walker also retired on 33no.
With a big score to help, an attacking field was set. A commendable catch by Joe Hawkins off Sayeed Shahid’s second ball was the best fielding moment and Ed Hands benefitted from a drag-on and a padded-on to finally give him figures of 4-1-13-3. Phil Belcher’s tight line was rewarded to take 2 wickets in the last over. Burridge held onto their last 2 wickets to deny P&S maximum bowling points.
