Match report We faced Havant, one of the top sides today without 3 of our regulars and while we were pretty well beaten I was very pleased with the contribution from all.
Batting first Tom and Harrison looked comfortable but for a couple of tight runs. Tom just made it home for his one while Harrison was less lucky with a direct hit. Fin and Tom then settled in with both striking confidently. Tom retired to bring Alfie in. Unfortunately for him he was the recipient of a searing yorker from their skyscraping left armer. When Fin's good innings was ended by a tidy stumping it was left to young Elliott and debutant Dan to see us to the break. As ever a bit more urgency in our running would have given us a few more runs but in the circumstances a good effort.
With the ball Tom bowled quickly, Harrison with plenty of flight and Alfie, Elliott and Daniel with good control. Unfortunately we just hadn't been able to muster enough runs to challenge this evening.
